ECOPACK d.o.o. PRESENTATION

Ecopack d.o.o. is joint-venture of world-wide known concern Comet d.d. Zreče and is currently one of the top producers of disposable food containers made of OPS in Slovenia and central Europe using production materials, which are nice to environment and with that also friendly  to end-users.

Basic activity is design, manufacture and sales of disposable plastic packaging for food industry by using thermoforming technology. As market interesting project, was founded in 1991 in the frames of concern Comet d.d. a inside company Ecopack d.o.o., which currently sells over 40% of produced packaging items on South-East Europe markets. Thermoforming, the manufacturing technology applied to Ecopack d.o.o. Slovenia, is one of the best up to date and innovative, which ensures the highest quality of the packaging. Our disposable food packaging can be utilized in the merchandising of variety of bakery, deli, fruits and vegetables secondary industry and foodservice applications. We are main supplier of packages to all supermarket chaines and food industry manufactures in Slovenia. With wide range of containers and ability to develop customized packaging solutions based on specific need we can produce almost any container to fulfill customers needs.  

The main production material is double oriented polystyrene respectively polystyrene sheet, which is polished in the horizontal and vertical direction to achieve benefits as 100 % clear transparency, high surface splendour, high hardness and other advantages, which are welcomed in process of packing of the food.

BOPS materials do not emit toxins into the environment, which makes them ideal for food packaging. Using this type of packaging, food remains fresh for an extended period of time (due to light protruding from all angles), it can be arranged nicely, and therefore attracts the buyer quicker. Thanks to its colour coding, pastry and other foods, packed in BOPS packaging, have a more pleasant appearance.

The food packed in this type of packaging does not adsorb water vapour, which makes it suitable for freezing. At the same time, it represents one of the quickest ways of packing.
